Happy thirsty Thursday everyone! I wanted to quickly share an easy and tasty cocktail for Valentine’s Day! So, this cocktail is a my version of a French Martini. A French Martini can be very delicious when made correctly. The key to a good French Martini is to make sure you do not add too much Chambord. Chambord is a raspberry flavored liquor. A French Martini is simply just vodka, pineapple juice, and Chambord.
To make this cocktail special, I made my own pineapple infused vodka. I will explain how to infuse vodka with fruit at the end of this post. When doing some research on the classic French Martini, I learned that putting a small pinch of pink Himalayan sea salt in the bottom of your martini glass can make the pineapple flavor really stand out, and give this cocktail some extra pizazz! Shoutout to Ina Garten for that tip! Now onto the recipe!
Serving Size: One strong cocktail!!
Ingredients:
- One shot pineapple infused vodka (you can use pineapple flavored vodka or regular vodka as well)
- One shot Chambord
- One shot pineapple juice
- Pinch of pink sea salt

- Add one shot pineapple juice
- Add small pinch of pink sea salt to bottom of martini glass

- Add piece of fresh pineapple to side of martini glass for garnish
- Pour into martini glass

*** please note the color of your martini should match the picture above!
How to make fruit infused vodka:
To make your own fruit infused vodka you just take high quality vodka and pour it into a glass mason jar then add the fruit of your choice. Let the mixture sit in the fridge for about 48 hours. The longer you wait the better the vodka will be. The fruit infused vodka can last for about a month in the fridge. I usually will infuse about two cups of vodka at a time.
Thanks for reading this post and I hope you give this cocktail a try! Happy Valentine’s Day!!!
xoxo,
Elsbeth
